Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) held below food events concurrently in their exhibition halls between November 19th and November 21st, 2012:
As DWTC’s Group Buyer Coordinator in Turkey, I built a delegation of 14 businessmen to visit and meet with the exhibitors of these events.
Turkish Hosted Buyers, consisting of the top management of Turkish supermarket chains and wholesale food distributors have met with more than 150 exhibitors during these events. Food retail chains in the delegation were mostly interested with canned fish, ready meals and confectionery while wholesale distributors met with an overwhelming interest from Far Eastern fish suppliers.
Frozen Yoghurt and Ice Cream Covered with Crisped Rice in Great Britain Pavillion at The Specialty Food Festival were among the new products which attracted interest from all the buyers in the delegation.
All parties concerning the events -exhibitors, Turkish companies in the delegation and the organizers- were extremely pleased with the potential and performance put forth by the presence of such an efficient group of buyers all through the exhibitions.
